The Planes of Fame Air Museum will be holding their annual air show over the weekend of May 2nd/3rd. Titled “A Salute to Veterans”, this year’s airshow will feature nearly fifty historic aircraft. Planes of Fame is one of the great air museums in the world, and their collection includes many unique survivors and some of the finest warbirds in the world. Their air show is equally fabulous….

Performers will include the U.S.A.F. F-22 Raptor Demo Team and Heritage Flight, Sean D. Tucker-Team Oracle Aerobatics, Canadian Forces CF-18 Hornet Demonstration Team, Sea Fury Aerobatics by Sanders Aeronautics, Clay Lacy’s Learjet Demonstration, Rob Harrison and the Tumbling Bear, Gregory Colyer’s T-33, John Collver’s AT-6 Aerobatics, and over 40 WWII aircraft including B-25, P-47, and P-51s. In addition to many other fantastic airplanes, both   performing and on static display, there will be a special panel discussion with a large number of our honored veterans. A special educational display by the Remembrance Rescue Project will present Rescue 5, a restored FDNY truck, damaged during September 11th, 2001, that lost all its crew of 11 firefighters. 11:30-12:00pm    – Army Flight
12:00-12:25pm    – Sean D. Tucker Aerobatic performance in the Team Oracle Challenger II Biplane
12:25-12:55pm     – INTERMISSION
12:55- 1:25pm       – Korean Air Battle Demonstration F-86, MIG-15, T-33, P-51, F4U, AD-5, F7F, T-6
1:25 – 1:40pm        – Clay Lacy Learjet Aerobatic Demonstration
1:40 – 1:50pm        – N9MB Flying Wing Flight Demonstration

New for 2015, there will also be a special Preview Day and Twilight Show on Friday May 1st between 10:00 am and ending at 8:00 pm. Free parking and tram service will be provided to the viewing area. Follow signs and directions to parking upon arrival. The flying performances begin at 3:45pm. Before 3:45pm, you may watch the arrivals of performers and participating aircraft. Food, drinks, and vendors will be open.

NOTE: Saturday and Sunday will not have a twilight show or the Golden Age of Aviation flight or a Greg Colyer T-33 solo flight demo.

Come and see all of these spectacular performers with a much smaller crowd! Enjoy flights at sunset and watch the afterburners light up the sky, in particular the special demonstration by the Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornet!
