Wings of the North Announces AirExpo 2016 Line Up

PRESS RELEASE – Wings of the North is pleased to announce that AirExpo 2016 will take place over the weekend of July 16-17 at Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. As part of the non-profit group’s mission to preserve and present aviation history, this year’s show promises to be one not to miss. More than 8,000 people are expected to attend this year’s show, featuring over 40 aircraft and 50 aviation dignitaries. The show has an excellent line of aeroplanes scheduled to appear including several World War II types such as the P-51 Mustang “Sierra Sue II”, B-17 Flying Fortress “Yankee Lady”, Hawker Sea Fury FB11 “SawBones”, TBM, Wildcat, and Wings of the North Museum’s newest addition – an F4U Corsair. In addition to WWII Aircraft, there will also be many military and civilian models on show. The aircraft will be on ground display and some will also perform single-ship and formation fly-overs throughout the weekend’s activities. Rides will be for sale on a select few airplanes, including the B-17.

In addition to the amazing line up of aircraft, AirExpo 2016 will also feature Heroes and Legends including Dootlittle Raider Lt. Col. Dick Cole, NASA Space Shuttle Commander Curt Brown, Women’s Airforce Service Pilot Liz Strohfus, and many more. The VIPs will be available to meet the public both days at AirExpo 2016 and feature in daily symposiums.
